Affidavit of George M. Burras, February 23, 1874

Martin County

I hereby certify I was the owner of Dolly Crandall when she was married and living with Ephraim Crandall. They lived upon my premises and were man and wife till some time in the early part of the late war. I further certify that they had six children, four of whom are dead, and two living. The mother Dolly Crandall has never within my knowlege failed to take care and provide for said children. Lewis Crandall is living, and was born about 1855. Isabella Crandall is also living and was born 1861. The above is true to the best of knowledge & belief.
