In the matter of pension claim of Rosetta Crandall widow of Ephriam Crandall Decd late of Co B 35 Regt U.S.C Troops on this 1st Day of February A.D. 1894 Personally appeared before me a U.S. Commissioner for the Eastern Districk of North Carolina Dr John Grey Blount M.D. of Washington Beaufort Co. N.C. whos PO address is Washington N.C. who being by me duly sworn declares as follows viz

This is to certify that Rosetta Crandall personally appeared before me and after careful examination I find, that as a result of necrosis caused by a deep burn received eighteen or twenty years ago, the external condyle of the humerus gone and at its site a dense cicatrix six or seven inches long. She complains of pain, sometimes acute in character, radiating up & down the arm & forearm from this cicatrix. With her left eye she is just able to distinguish light from darkness & both the upper & lower lids of that eye are granular & in the lower one of same eye she suffers somewhat from ectropion & her upper & lower lids on right side are granular also. The above is in my own handwriting.
