Parks, Samuel B.

Samuel B. Parks was born around 1823 in North Carolina. He married Mary Ann Currie in Caswell County, North Carolina, in 1845, and together the two with their daughter Mary moved to Lafayette County, Mississippi sometime before 1847. As of 1860, Parks enslaved seven people, including Ransom Parks, a member of the 11th Infantry, U.S.C.T., who was killed in Fort Pillow Massacre.
